Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous as a star of the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit. From his early college days Meloni had a keen interest in acting. Then he studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active in film and TV and on stage, his appearances on small screens were what earned him fame. His ability to play characters in both legal and non-legal settings is what has caught the attention of the public. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played a serial murderer. Then, he played the character of an NYPD detective. He has been nominated multiple times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his smaller screen performances. His signature striking blue eyes that are said to make his look attractive.
